VOTE HERE:Last weekend was Younghoon Elementary School's 51st annual Happy Fest. Students, family members, and teachers attended and participated in the festivities. Despite the rain, the stage was lit up on Friday night with awesome dancing, singing and drum playing! Special shout out to Grade 6 and Grade 1 performers as well as all the fathers who showed some major dancing skill. Celebrations continued on Saturday with a wide range of performances at three different locations on school grounds. In addition, there were a number of food and activity booths set up. Each grade participated in a sports competition during the day. 3-1's Favourite Memories and Thoughts on Happy Fest

She has joined us as a guest blogger to share some inspiration and tips for our Fall Photo Contest. Hello 3-1, Thank you for inviting me to be a part of your Adventures in 3-1 Blog! I love photography because it allows me to show beauty in sometimes simple things that most may overlook. It's a chance to use your creativity to capture something and freeze it for others to gaze upon. Pictures can have emotions, they can inspire , and they can create stories. It's always up to you what story you want to tell. Tips for new photographers in 3-1: Remember to always look at the picture as a whole, from corner to corner before capturing it, is everything in there you want? Or anything you don't? (example someone's foot etc.) Don't be afraid to get close to what you want to photograph, lay on your stomach, stand on a bench, take a picture upside down, get on your knees, play with angles. Have steady hands and make sure you have everything focused you wish to show. And finally, whatever you think makes a good picture, always will! Let your creativity shine. There is no wrong or right way to capture a moment.
3-1 students will have the opportunity to write, record and edit
